RHODES, Bette- Lequille, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Bette Rhodes, 85 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, NS on January 14, 2011. Bette immigrated from Maidstone, Kent England as a War Bride in 1946. She enjoyed working at the Chester Pharmacy before retiring. She liked playing Darts, Golf and doing Crossword Puzzles. Bette is survived by her sons Jeff Croft (Jane) Amherst, Gary Croft (Edith) Calgary, daughter Karen Croft Halifax, grandson Jeff Croft II (Stephanie) Bridgewater, Stepchildren, Rick Rhodes (Karen) River Hebert, Wendy Hudson (Fred) Hantsport, and 4 great-grandchildren, step- grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, Bette is predeceased by her first husband Arnold Croft, 2nd Husband Charles Rhodes daughter Carol Ransom, and parents Herbert and Louise Williams, of Maidstone, Kent England. We want to thank the staff at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, and the Soldiers Memorial Hospital Middleton, for their compassionate care of our Mom. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown.
