Obituary of Rena Viola Burrell

Burrell, Rena Viola, 97 formerly of Bear River East passed away January 8, 2020 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Clementsvale she was a daughter of the late John and Eva Hazel (Potter) Burrell. Rena taught school for 38 years throughout the Annapolis Valley. Her students were her life, many of whom still kept in contact with her from time to time. She was a devoted member of the Gospel Hall in Clementsvale and was baptized in 1948. Rena loved to work in her garden. She is survived by nephews: George (Crystal) Burrell, Michael (Sandy) Burrell, Peter (Ann) Burrell and nieces: Pauline Burrell, Nancy (Jim) Arsenault and Jane (Andy) Nickerson, several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers: Roscoe, Harold, Carl and Bruce . Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Sunday January 12, 2020 in the Gospel Hall, Clementsvale, John Meekin and Paul Potter officiating. Interment will follow in the Clementsvale Cemetery. The family wish to sincerely thank the staff at Mountain Lea Lodge for the caring compassionate care they provided Rena.
