Swinimer, Donald Frank, 78 of West Dalhousie, Annapolis County, passed away October 1, 2020, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Charles and Ella May (Hupman) Swinimer. Donald was employed with the City of Halifax for many years. He was a soldier with the Salvation Army and enjoyed playing the drum and trumpet. He is survived by his wife the former Doris Healey; son, Donald of Sackville; daughter, Tanya (Jeff) Lively of Halifax; step-son, Steven (Dena) of Vancouver; step-daughters, Paula (David) of Mahone Bay and Donna (Aaron) of Blockhouse; grandchildren, Thomas, Stephen, Zech, Jonathan, Timothy, Naomi and Joel; great grandchildren, Sophie, Blake and Daniel; sister, Marjorie (John) McDonald of Bedford; brother, Steven (Mary) of Wilmot, nieces Lisa and Debora Donald was predeceased by a brother Bill(Monica) Visitation will be held Sunday October 4, 2020 from 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday Oct. 5, 2020 with Major Joan and Ken Wagar officiating, all from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A live webcast of the service will be available on our website starting at 1:45 p.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown.
