Neville, Joyce Elaine, 87 of Bridgetown, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Friday January 27, 2012 in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Rogers) Pearl. Joyce was an avid golfer and curler and was an ardent bridge player. She was well known for her artistic rug hooking and was a founding member of the Bridgetown Rug Hookers. She was very active in her community especially with volunteering. Joyce was a long standing member of the Bridgetown Baptist Church. Most of all Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and faithful friend. She is survived by her son, Robert (Ruth) of Port Wade; daughter, Gail Neville of Bedford; grandchildren, Scott (Lisa), Jennifer (Jamie) Theriault; step grandchildren, John (Elisa) Rutledge and Susie (Pat) Hogan and four great grandchildren; sister, Theda Keddy of New Jersey. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Garnet; grandson, Blake Neville MacKenzie; brothers, Garnet, Harold and Victor. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday from the Bridgetown Baptist Church with Rev. David Cumby officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall and interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown. Family flowers only. Donations in Joyce's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family wish to express a special Thank-you to the staff at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home for the loving care and respect they had shown Joyce.
