Obituary of Nadine Alane Cronin

Please share a memory of Nadine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cronin, Nadine Alane - 69, of Moschelle, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2021 in the Annapolis Community Health Center. Born September 24, 1951, in Annapolis Royal, she was the daughter of Arline (Chute) Porter and the late William Porter. Nadine, aka Deanie to close family and friends, was a dedicated employee of Britex, for well over 30 years, up to the day it closed. She enjoyed working the night shift as a mechanic, as the workers who carried on, joking, laughing made the shift go by easily. Once the plant came to a close she focused on cleaning homes in her spare time, to keep busy. Nadine enjoyed completing the cryptoquote in the daily newspaper as well as reading true crime and mystery novels. A favorite past time she enjoyed sharing with friends was Line Dancing. She always looked forward to kicking up her heels with some country music. Unfortunately, in the years to follow, Nadine suffered a stroke, however, this did not put a damper on her dancing. She continued to dance up to the point she was unable to. Her greatest pastime and devotion was the love of her daughters and in the years to follow her grandchildren and great grandchild. Nothing else put a sparkle in her eye, a smile on her face or even a chuckle in her voice. Even when the words were unable to come. It was written on her face. Nadine always found the time for her friends and family. If anyone was in need she would do all she could to help that person out. She seemed to know what to say, as if it came naturally to her. Nadine was the rock and pillar of this family, no one could ever fill your shoes. The memories you helped create will always be in our hearts, always to remain and never to be lost. We witnessed your struggles and battles as the years passed by. Your strength has inspired us all. We want to say a special thank you to Dr. Kenneth Buchholz, if not for you and your endless help and support over the years, we may not have had this time with Nadine. Your kindness, compassion and professionalism will never go unnoticed and we want to thank you for all you have done. Nadine (Mom), as you continue on to greet the ones who have made this journey years past, we know you are not alone, but in the welcoming arms of close family. You will be forever in our hearts and carried on in our memories. We love you always and forever. Until we meet again, hugs, love you Mom, Deanie and Nanny Cronin. Nadine is survived by her loving husband, Danny; daughters, Kimberley Porter of Digby, and Denise (Paul Hamilton), Granville Ferry; her mother Arline Porter; sisters, Judith Day, Mississauga, Ontario, Sandra Spurr-McNeil (Burt McNeil), Moschelle, Deborah Porter-Hannam, West Dalhousie, Donna (John) Milner, Clementsvale; brother, Gerald (Pat) Chute, Smiths Cove; grandchildren, Kayley Porter, Joshua Hamilton; great-grandson, Kayden Porter; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, William; brother, Murray; brothers-in-law, David and Eddie; and nephew, Jason. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Due to current COVID restrictions, a private family graveside service will be held at a later date, in Harris Cemetery, Moschelle. Donations in Nadine memory may be sent to Diabetes Association, the Canadian Cancer Society or Charity of choice. Online condolences may be made at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
