I knew Peter at UVic in 1966 when he joined the RCN’s University Naval Training Division and for four years enjoyed his company on various cruises with him on the west coast. As is frequently the case our paths diverged as we followed our own careers. Nevertheless I have fond memories of his gentle humour.
