Obituary of Martha Louise Bourassa

Bourassa, Martha Louise in her 93rd year of Digby passed away August 4, 2021 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in North Lake, NB she was a daughter of the late Enoch and Ella (Lutz) Peck. Martha was a military wife and mother, she met her husband John while working at CFB Cornwallis as a medical secretary. Martha went to school at the Oakdene School in Bear River and St. Pat’s Convent Business School in Digby. She worked at Camp Hill Hospital and later at the Canada Pension Commission as the Commissioner’s secretary until her retirement
Martha is survived by sons: Marc (Lynn) of Falmouth, Guy (Ruth) of Victoria, BC, Peter of Digby; sisters: Alice Trimper and Joan (Donnie) Wright both of Bear River East; daughter-in-law Linda, sister-in-law Lillis Peck; grandchildren: Lisa (Wayne) Bourque, Jayme (Kerri) Bourassa, Celeste Bourassa, Lorine, Ricky, Jeffrey, Angela, Christina Bourassa, Kody Mann; great grandchildren: Ben and Jacob Bourque, Riley and Colby Jardine, Lincoln Mann.
She was predeceased by her husband Jean Marc Bourassa, son Dale, daughter Nicolle, sisters: Dorothy and Daisy; brothers: Enoch Jr., and Howard; daughter-in-law Wendy; brother-in-law Willis, Paul and Shirley. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-6 p.m. and funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Mark Cress officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Vista Cemetery, Upper Clements. Donations in Martha’s memory may be sent to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation.
