Dear Beverly, Brian, Stephen and Families: I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your Mother. She was a very special woman and I have wonderful memories of her, even as far back as when you all lived in Hampton. She was so gracious, warm and kind. No matter when or where I would meet her, she was always a joy to encounter. Often she'd have something to say to make me laugh. She will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I pray that you will know God's peace. :

Dear Bev, Brian, Steve and families,
I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. As a kid, when we would go to the motel for dinner, I always knew when Mrs. O'Neal was in the kitchen because my piece of pie would be just a little bigger than usual. A great lady with a big heart - she will be missed.

Dear Bev and family. My heart is sad with the loss of such a beautiful soul. Your Mum had a heart of gold with a smile that could make your day. I could always count on her to keep me from playing my fiddle way to fast. She kept me in time and calmed my nerves. Her talent on the piano was unmatched. We were always welcomed at her home to play with a smile and a hug. I always got the best hug and chat whenever we met over the years since I left the Bridgetown Fiddlers. I know my Dad is fiddling up a storm in heaven now that he has his piano player to back him. She will be missed.

Dear Bev, Brian, Stephen and families:
We have been very blessed to have enjoyed the friendship of your Mom for over fifty years. She and your Dad welcomed us (We were a very young couple then...) as neighbours back in 1970. We knew Harriet to be a kind, sweet-natured ,helpful lady . She had a heart of gold , a great sense of humour , a loyal spirit and talented fingers on any keyboard.
During the decades, we visited when we could and always kept in touch. Your Mom was always up for a chat on the phone and her hearty laugh was contagious! She loved her family ,her church and her friends and dedicated countless hours to helping everyone. She will be missed by many and always remembered with a smile.
Please accept our most heartfelt condolences on your great loss. You will always have a special Guardian Angel watching over you.

Memories are the band-aids of the soul.
They allow us to heal from within and soothe our grief with the surety of sunrise.
Memories are timekeepers.
Windows that reflect our relationships with loved ones.
They encourage us to revisit the best of times; the moments of trust and joy that we have shared.
Memories are the battle scars and trophies of a hard -won battle.
They remind us of what is pure, truthful and honest within ourselves and those whom we have loved and lost.
Memories are the chapters that link the pages of a lifetime.
They motivate us to cherish the past and make it part of the present and the future.

Sorry to hear of Harriet’s passing. I worked closely with her for years at the Bridgetown Motor Hotel. She was such a great cook! A sweetheart to all of the staff. I can still hear her calling me at the front desk to do some food tasting for her. Such a kind soul. She was like a mother to me. You were the best! RIP LOVE DEBBY

My cousin Harriet was admired and loved by all: she was kind/caring/wise/forthright/elegant. She touched the hearts of everyone she met.
She had many interests: was never happier than when she was walking in town, playing keyboard with the fiddlers, cooking/baking, community service, church work, etc.
In a world where most people put their own rights in the forefront; she thought only of her responsibilities and duty to others.
She was a tireless worker, lenient with others, ruthless with herself. High moral standards. Always grateful for what you did for her. She had a sense of humour.
I remember her many words of wisdom. We'll miss her with tender sorrow!
“God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation. 21: 1-4)
Rest in peace dear cousin.

Sending our heartfelt condolences to Bev, Ernie, Brian, Stephen, Lauralee, and families, in the loss of your beloved, mother, Harriet. She was a very special woman, and a blessing to everyone she knew.
Harriett was like a mother figure to all the Bridgetown Fiddlers, and the glue that held them together. She was always willing to play keyboard for them at practices, and hosting the practices for many years, in her own home. Harriett also played keyboard for the Fiddlers, at shows or nursing homes, the Lawrencetown Exhibition, and for a special, former fiddler, at his funeral.
She was also very involved in her church over the years, and a dedicated worker and helper on many committees and groups.
She was a wonderful friend and a loving mother, and always put the needs of others, before her own. A great cook; she loved to share her baking with others. A true blessing to all who loved and knew her. She will be missed so very much, but an example to us all, of how to live a life humbly, and with love.

A few years ago I asked Harriett if she could convince a few of the fiddlers to come to Crosskill to play at our Christmas party. At least 12 musicians came that night. It was wonderful. After that, Hariett would call and ask me if we wanted help at Christmas. I hope she realized what a gift she gave us.
My deepest condolences to Bev, Brian and Stephen.
