Obituary of Clifford Reginald Sarty

Clifford Reginald “Reg” Sarty, born April 4, 1941, left this world to meet his Lord and Saviour on September 11, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gloria (Rafuse) Sarty; his daughters, Tanya Clayton (Randy) and Lorianne Weagle (Kenny); grandchildren, Rachel Amirault (Alex) and Bronson Clayton (Emily); great grandchildren, Amber Weagle, Shyanne and Wyatt Amirault and Addison Clayton; brothers, Lewis “Buster” Sarty and Gerald “Buddy” Sarty; sister, Eileen Holmes ; several nieces and nephews. Reg loved life and spent most of it surrounded by his family and friends. He was an active member of his church and community, spending countless hours with the youth at AWANA, Gospel Light Bible Camp and the list goes on. He was always giving and never asking for anything in return, lending a helping hand and joking with all who were willing to laugh. Oh! That smirk of his! Reg was the head of the family, the glue who held us all together. He will be greatly missed by all. Reg’s family would like to extend our thanks for the wonderful care that he received form Dr. Sarah Ward and nurses at Soldiers Memorial Hospital along with Von and palliative care nurses. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to Hillside Cemetery. No visitation by request. A funeral service will be held 2pm Sunday September 19, 2021 in Parkers Cove Baptist Church, with Rev. Mark Elley officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
