PARTRIDGE, RONALD BLAIR - 75, passed away on February 26, 2012 at home in Princedale. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Merlin and Gladys (King) Partridge. For 26 and half years he served in the Canadian Armed Forces (Army) as a paratrooper, gymnast and physical education & recreational trainer, retiring at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. Following retirement he did carpentry work and taught life skills to recruits at CFB Cornwallis. He was a very caring and thoughtful man who would help anyone. He enjoyed spending time working on projects around the house, operating his tractor, gardening and playing the piano. Always on the go visiting friends/ family, helping out in his community as an active member of the Bear River East Baptist Church and living each day to the fullest. He had a love for animals and watching birds from his front porch. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary (Leslie) of 51 years, his relatives, friends and dog, Pebbles. Surviving is his son Dean Partridge, Enfield; daughter Donna (Douglas) Trimper, Princedale; grandchildren Troy Trimper, Wellington and Tracy Trimper, Yarmouth. Ron was predeceased by brothers Kenneth, Roy, Douglas and Wayne; foster brothers Laurie Murray, and David Lovett and daughter in-law Vickie Partridge. Visitation will be held in Annapolis Royal at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home from 7-9 Wednesday with a Memorial Service held from the First United Baptist Church , Annapolis Royal, Thursday at 1:30pm,with Rev David Hopkins & Rev. Warren Fitzgerald officiating. Reception following in church hall. Interment will be at the Clementsvale Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the VON or The Lodge That Gives.
