Obituary of Lynn Elexa Gregory

Gregory, Lyn Elexa 75 of Parker Mountain Road, Annapolis Co. passed away March 2, 2022 in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Bear River she was the youngest child of the late Earl Herman and Edna Elexa (Coombs) McCormick. After graduating from Digby Regional High School, Lynn went on to study as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at the N.S. Institute of Technology, Halifax and Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. She was employed at Digby General Hospital for three years and for over thirty years she practiced at the former Annapolis General Hospital, and the Annapolis Community Health Centre. She was a member of the Parker’s Cove Baptist Church where she served as church organist and an Awana leader for over 25 years. Lynn was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family and especially with her granddaughter, Corrina and great granddaughters Alexis and Zola, She also enjoyed collecting antiques and stamps and spent many happy hours working in her flower gardens. She is survived by her husband of more than 54 years Otis, sons: Peter John (Crystal) of Parker Mtn. Road, Paul Joseph (Basia) of Maryland; granddaughter Corrina (Brandon) Hudson of Litchfield; great granddaughters: Alexis and Zola; sisters: Audrey McMahon of Bancroft, ON and Myrtle Selig of Deep Brook; several nieces and nephews. Lynn was predeceased by brother, Lionel; sister Marie Darris; brothers-in-law Cal Darris, Russell Selig and Ronald McMahon. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held 7-9pm Tuesday, from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A Celebration of Life will be held will be held 2pm Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from the Parkers Cove Baptist Church, with Pastor Jeff George officiating. Current Covid-19 restrictions will apply. Masks are required. Internment will take place at a later date. Donations in Lynn’s memory may be sent to Parker’s Cove Baptist Church or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
