I am just learning of Scottie's passing. He was my Sunday School teacher many years ago and I attended many of his services. He always explained things so well even to children and young people. Also many years ago he lead the funeral service for my cousin's husband. He was such a wonderfully kind and understanding man. Sincere condolences to his children and grandchildren.

I was so saddened to hear of Scotties passing. He was one of the most remarkable men I've even known. Always thinking about others first, such a strong Christian man. Someone you knew you could turn to for solid advice.
My condolences to you all.

To Scottie's Family-
We were very saddened to learn of Scottie's passing. He was a real gentleman and lived a truly distinguished life. I started working as a resident engineer with the Dept. of Highways in the Valley back in 1969. The first job I had was to oversee a paving job that was contracted out to Standard Paving. Scottie was the Superintendent. He was an amazing man to work with and he really got me off to a great start in my new job. I learned a lot right off the bat from Scottie. Just a few years ago my wife Pat and I visited Scottie at his home in Parkers Cove and we really enjoyed our visit. I hadn't seen him in long time and this was the first time Pat had the pleasure of meeting him. He was the same Scottie I'd worked with so many years ago-just a great guy. Please accept our deepest condolences at this time of great loss.
Sincerely
Greg and Pat Wilson

Scottie has been a fellow Christian along the King's Highway for many years. My earliest memories of Scottie are when he would come to our house when Dad and Mom (Denton & Jeannette Orde) hosted the Gideon Camp monthly meeting. He was always willing to share the work of the Gideons at local churches, present Gideon Testaments to Grade 5 classes in schools and above all, to testify to faith in his Saviour. It was a blessing to be with him and Ella at the Long Lake Bible Camp during the 90's early 2000's. They were strong supporters of the Family Camp and encouraged those who attended. Anywhere we met him, whether at a nursing home with the men's choir, a local restaurant or at the end of his driveway, he was interested in our family, our church and our faith. We offer our condolences to the family. Memories are a wonderful comfort.

My sympathy to Scotty's family. I met Scotty when he worked for Standard Paving and I worked with the Highways Dept., as it was called back then.
It was always a pleasure to work with Scotty, we got along really well, and Scotty had all kinds of funny stories about the construction industry. Whenever you were with Scotty, you had lots of laughs. Maybe life was simpler back then.
Again my sympathy to the family, your loss is our loss too.

As a young boy in the late 70s and 80s - I would stand on my lawn and wave to people going by. Scottie was the one person over all those years who made a point to wave first. I will wave first and last this time. Scottie I will wave to people - smile and think of you. Nathan. My thoughts are with the family.

Our condolences on the passing of your Dad. Scottie was a well loved wonderful Christian man. He welcomed us to Canada and Parker’s Cove and made us feel so welcome. We would enjoy his random visits to our farm and later our senior home. It was an honour to be able to care for his beautiful wife, while working at MLL. He will be greatly missed. The White’s xx
