Obituary of Jeanette Eva House

Jeanette Eva (Jennie) House of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14th, 4:45 AM, at the Grand View Manor in Berwick, N.S. She was 93 years old.

Jennie was born in Hawke’s Bay, Newfoundland to Margaret Ellen (Nellie) and Arthur House on November 7th, 1928.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Cyril House, and her devoted companion and husband, Vernon Veinot; daughters Margaret and Alma and step-daughter Joy; siblings, David, Edgar, Nellie, Louisa and Margaret.

She is survived by her children, Cyril (Marie) House, Seth (Gloria) House, Lorne (Gladys) House, Althea (Yvan) House/Cartier, Wayne (Intan) House, Daniel (Leah) House and Anita (Eugene) House/MacLean and her step-children Holly (David) Rafuse and Heather Veinot (Daryl). Jennie is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She is survived also by many loving nieces and nephews, friends and colleagues. She will be missed by so many.

A memorial service will be held at Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, NS on Friday, June 17th, at 10:00 AM. Service will be webcast on the funeral homes website.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Mountain Lea Lodge palliative care unit in Bridgetown.

Jennie’s remains will be buried later this summer in the Anglican Church cemetery in Stephenville Crossing NL. Close friends and relatives will be notified at that time.
