Obituary of Mary Isabelle Inglis
Mary Isabelle (Whitman) Inglis
1926 – 2022
With saddened hearts, we mourn the loss of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Mary lived her 95 years as a gentle soul. She was a stay at home Mom. She was a lifetime member of the United Church Women, also a lifetime member of the Tupperville Women’s Institute. She faithfully attended church every Sunday, belonged to the Quilter’s group at the United Church on Mondays.
Mary loved her daily walks in the woods regardless the weather. She loved puzzles in the daily newspaper, jigsaw puzzles, scrabble, and a good game of 45’s.
Mary loved to read, magazines, and especially books about surrounding areas. She was very knowledgeable. Mary bowled in her younger years and lawn bowled.
Mary leaves behind children, Malcolm (Trudy), Shirley, Nancy (Carl) Courtney, Bruce (Luella); ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Jodrey and Margaret Whitman; many nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by husband, Russel (Pete) Inglis; son, Keith; sister, Aggie (Ivan) Connell; brothers, Henry, Robert (Ester) and Charles Whitman; brother in-law, Maynard Jodrey.
A very special Thank You to the staff and care givers at Grace Haven for the excellent care and kindness given to Mary. She thoroughly enjoyed all the home cooked meals they served. God Bless you all.
