Obituary of Marguerite Isobel Gauthier

Gauthier, Marguerite Isobel of Annapolis Royal passed away October 30, 2022 in the Annapolis Community Health Centre. Born in Summerville, Mass. she was a daughter of the late Walter and Annie (Kearnes) Sarty. Marguerite worked as a Social Worker for many years. She was the last surviving charter member of the Granville Ferry UCW and for many years was the coordinator of the Christmas Daddies for Annapolis County. She is survived by daughters: Sandra Gauthier of Port Royal, Barbara (Bruce) Dillion of Bomanville, On, son: Robert (Marie) of Grand Lake, Greywood, 6 grandchildren , 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; companion Donald Smith; brother-in-law, Byron Smith.

She was predeceased by her husband E.K. Raymond Gauthier; sister, Elizabeth and son-in-law, John Holmes. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday Nov. 6,2022 from St. George and St. Andrew United Church, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Sheila Redden-Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations in Marguerite’s memory may be sent to the Palliative Care Unit at the Annapolis Community Health Centre.
