Obituary of Carolyn Deverl Hannam
Hannam, Carolyn Deverl – 75 of Lequille, passed away suddenly at home December 6, 2022. Born in Annapolis Royal, April 6, 1947, she was the daughter of late William and Phylis (Rice) Cleaves. Carolyn was a homemaker most of her life, who enjoyed looking after everyone; she was known as the neighborhood mom to a lot of kids. She loved to be on the go, spending time with her sister Leota, the two of them where often on an adventure, going for a drive, looking for good finds at frenchies and yardsales, or just going for a bite to eat. Carolyn was a strong, independent woman who loved to laugh, and never complained about anything.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Gary Jr. (Laura) Hannam, Cornwallis; daughter, Teresa Jean Hannam (Merwin Clayton), Wrights Lake; grandchildren, Sara Hannam (Ryan Drost), Erika Hannam (Jeffrey Wood), Jessica (Tyler) Cress; great grandson, Boyd Cress; sisters, Leota Feener, Joy Hannam (Len); brothers, Leslie (Joan) Cleaves, Bev (Jan) Cleaves, Tony Cleaves, Kevin (Sherry) Cleaves; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gary Hannam Sr.; brothers, Weldon, Sherman, William (infancy).
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A graveside service will be held 2pm Saturday December 17, 2022 in St. Barnabus Church Cemetery, Dalhousie with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating.
