My deepest condolences to Jean and the entire Milne family on the passing of such a special man. I have the most beautiful childhood memories of Donnie, Jean, Tanya and Charlie ( and the whole Milne family). Being welcomed into your home and hearts. So many laughs, lessons, sleepovers and hugs. Donnie and Jean made me feel right at home as I followed and tagged along behind their girls. Love and hugs to you all. May you continue to feel his blessings.

As the Grandpa and Father to my beloved McGrath’s , I saw a lot of Donnie over my lifetime. He will always be remember by me for both his and Jean’s antics and repertoire of jokes that often ended up with me in stitches from laughing so hard. Donnie played an integral role in his family and my sincerest sympathies and love go out to everyone feeling his loss especially Debbie, Daryl, Deanna, Darren, Tracey, Olivia and Emily. My thoughts and condolences go out to Jean, Wanda, Charlie, Sandra and their families—may the memories you all shared together with Donnie help bring you comfort during this difficult time.

Hey Donnie
I'll bet St Peter didn't know he needed a good used car and a horse. Neither, however, did 3/4 of the people you sold to.
You are a "closer".
I always appreciated and admired that.
Throughout the years, people would ask me where I learned to exquisitely deliver a joke, and laugh at it harder than anyone I would tell it to. I owe it all to you. Thanks.......
A long awaited reunion with Tanya is a priority I'm certain. Please say a big Tanya "Hello" from all of us.
We all love her as much as we love you.
Lyndsay and I are out of the Country so we will be thinking of you constantly on your day of celebration.
Take care my friend.

I have many memories of going to Annapolis in the early mornings and have some of Jennie's apple sauce, and delivering many vehicles to his customers. Donnie would always buy lunch and treated me like a daughter. I will miss your hugs . " Hugs to all ". Linda Hudson

We were fortunate to have (uncle) Donnie woven into the daily fabric of our lives for many years and by extension you, his family. Between the horses, our friendship, the blood relative thing ;) and of course Donnie selling vehicles for dad - our families were closely entwined. I will always remember his laugh, how he loves to tell a tale, and how he considered all of the horse-show kids to be part of his family. And family…you guys were and always will be his pride and joy - although the tractors were a close second ;)
Love to you all. Jane

So much love and gratitude for having known Donnie. I have many memories of you Donnie, my favourite being the last hug we shared just a few weeks ago when you thanked me for sharing the updates on my family. My favourite scalleywag you were, sharing stories of being up to no good with my grandfather (Perley MacAulay) and giggles of delight sitting all those years ago with my daughter at the "gentleman's table" at Double D, filling her up with a big chocolate bar and more importantly your love and attention. You are a class all of it's own, a heart of gold and a joyful soul no matter what life threw.
Thank you for sharing your life and love, I will miss you more than I can say and I will keep looking for you amoung the sky and trees on this beloved mountain. ❤️

I didn’t see Papa Milne very often, but whenever I went for visits, they were always special visits and were filled with stories and laughs. I learned something new everytime I saw him. He was such a kind soul. When I was younger, he had given me a curling trophy that he had won when he curled. It has been displayed in my room since he gave it to me. The Lawrencetown exhibition was one of my favourite memories with him. He let me borrow his golf cart to drive around and see if anyone needed a ride anywhere around the exhibition grounds, and driving tractors in the parade through the streets of Lawrencetown and the one in the main ring with one of his tractors. I will always have a special place in my heart for him and his tractors. Rest in Peace Papa Milne.

“Uncle Don” was very special to all of us Emery’s. My mother Alma sends her condolences, as do the rest of us.
I thought that I would share one story that is but one of many fond memories.
In early April of 1963, there was an ice storm which tore down the power lines and my father was away on military business at the time. We lived in our mobile home in Granville Ferry and the power lines had collapsed with the wires laying across the trailer. The telephone wires were also down.
In the morning, Uncle Don appeared in the tow truck and loaded up Mom and the five of us. We stayed at the Chateau Milne for the best part of the next week. It was a unique experience, 10 children, the oldest of which turned nine during that stay (me) and 3 adults at the old farm. It was only one of several fond memories which have bonded our families together.
Uncle Don was a unique character (understatement) that had a heart of gold. His contributions to his community were enormous and he was always the first one to lend a helping hand, even if you were a stranger. He will be missed.
So again, on behalf of the Emery’s, please accept our condolences. In our family he was an honorary uncle because he earned a special place in our hearts.
Lorne Emery
