Orde, Mary Mabel, 100, of Annapolis Royal passed away April 22, 2012 in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Saulnierville, on October 7, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Albany and Marie Mabel "Mae" Saulnier. Mabel was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the CWL. She enjoyed needlecrafts such as sewing, crocheting, and knitting and especially loved to play cards. She was a member of the New Horizons Club and loved to travel. Mabel is survived by her daughter, Jean (James) Jackson of Ashcroft, B.C. and grandsons Robert and Gary both of BC; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Darrel; brother, John; sisters, Edith Saulnier in infancy and Alma Amirault. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal where the CWL will say prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday from St. Louis Catholic Church, Annapolis Royal with Father John MacPherson officiating. Cremation will follow the service with a private family burial at a later date. Donations in Mabel's memory may be sent to St. Louis Catholic church or to a charity of one's choice.
