Obituary of Valerie Ellen Mitchell

Mitchell, Valerie Ellen – 53 of Port Lorne, Annapolis County, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 23, 2023, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.  Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of Sheila (Sabean) Lewis and the late Robert “Bobby’ Lewis.  Valerie enjoyed living by the Bay Shore; working on puzzles, spending time with family and friends, loved going for drives regardless of the destination.  She cared for Pauline for over 6 years, this enabled Pauline to remain in her own home.  Valerie survived by her Best friend and partner, Tim Lewis; sons, William “Alex” Mitchell of Berwick; Brandyn (Jesse) Mitchell of New Mexico; Kendall  Mitchell of Port Lorne; step son, Ivan (Brittney) Lewis of Antigonish; stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Ryan) Laidley of Newfoundland; her mother, Sheila Lewis;  mother in law Pauline Lewis; sisters, Cynthia (James) Kenneally of Berwick and Tammy Lewis of Sage Hill, Alberta; brother, Randy (Joanne) Lewis of Lower LaHave; step grandchildren, Zoe Laidley; Thomas and Sam Lewis; nieces, Tiffany (Ryan) Kenneally and Breanna Young; great nephew, Raiden Rodgers. Predeceased by her father, Robert “Bobby” Lewis.  Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown.

A graveside service will take place 1:30pm Saturday, February 25, 2023, in Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne. Donations in memory may be made to Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne or Port Lorne Baptist Church.  On line condolences may be sent to www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
