Obituary of Helen Irene Potter

Potter, Helen Irene, 100 of Bear River, passed away February 1, 2023, in the Veterans Unit at Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Middleton. Born in Middle Sackville, NB she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Gladys (Purdy) Wheelhouse. Helen was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles and keeping up on current events. She was a former member of the RCAF and served in Newfoundland during the war. Helen was a member of the Clementsvale Baptist Church, the Bear River New Horizons Club and the Royal Canadian Legion in Clementsport.

Helen is survived by daughter-in-law, Darlene Potter of Bear River; sister, Phyllis Read of Bear River; brother, James Wheelhouse of Cape Breton; brother-in-law, Roy Ferguson; sister-in-law, Myrtle Wheelhouse; granddaughter, Brenda Potter of Clementsvale and great granddaughter, Calista Potter (Dylan Pettipas) of Deep Brook. She was predeceased by her husband Robert; son, Daniel; foster son, Otis Potter; sister, Jean Ferguson; brothers, Purdy and Bliss. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday February 10, 2023 in the Clementsvale Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Cress officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Family flowers only.
