Obituary of Sandra Gail Wade
Wade, Sandra Gail, 77, of Granville Ferry, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the Annapolis Health Centre. Sandra was born on May 9, 1945, in Granville Ferry, the daughter of Stephen and Alberta Miller (Bent). Shortly after graduating from Annapolis Royal Regional Academy, Sandy married the love of her life, Robert Wade, on May 8, 1964. Together, they raised four sons, Kevin, Brian, Michael and Richard and two daughters, Eva and Janet and opened their home to over 20 foster children. Sandra was an active member of her community, volunteering her time in the Annapolis Royal Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Annapolis County Special Olympics and M.A.D.D. Sandra was very skilled in home improvements, doing many repairs and additions to her home herself. For leisure, she loved and played baseball and bowling. She also enjoyed her daily crossword and cryptoquote puzzles. Sandra is survived by sons, Kevin (Lorrie); Brian; Michael (Elaine) and Richard; daughters, Eva Graham (Gerald) and Janet Mills; grandchildren, Desiree Marquis; Christopher Wade (Melissa); Morgan Wade and Jason Graham (Chancey); sister-in-law, Shirley Miller; sisters, Marilyn ( John) Brittain of Granville Ferry; Carole Miller of Calgary; Sheila ( Dale) Longmire of Parkers Cove; Shirlee (Dale) Guy of Granville Ferry; Debbie (Dale Hudson) Miller of Halifax; brothers, Gerald (Frances (Dec.) of Chilliwack, BC; Douglas (Jean) of Nanimo, BC; Bryan of Ontario; Robert “Ricky” (Mary) of Ontario; Gary of Granville Ferry; eight great grand-children; several nieces and nephews and close family friend, Michael Hall. Besides her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Bob; brother, Dale; sister, Joan, in infancy; a brother, Ronald in infancy; grandson, Nicholas Graham; great granddaughter, Vienna Graham and brother-in-law, Bruce. Everyone who knew Sandra was aware that she always had an open door to her family and friends, through good times and bad. A remarkable woman who was loved by all and will be sadly missed and always remembered. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Visitation will be held at Kaulbach Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, Sunday, February 12, from 2:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Condon Cemetery, Youngs Cove.
