Hamilton, Reginald Marine - 83, of Annapolis Royal, died peacefully on May 13, 2012, in the Annapolis Community Health Centre. Born in Litchfield, he was one of ten children of the late Edna (Everett) and Ralph Hamilton. For years Reg fished with Papa and then became a carpenter for many years until he retired. He loved to be outdoors and many prized coon and cat hound dogs and could be found many late nights in corn fields or hunting the woods looking for raccoons. He loved to play cards and seldom would lose; one could say he had good luck. Most of all he had a great love for his family and many friends especially those at the Manor and if you visited there you would often find him in the lounge waiting to have a chat with someone, working on a puzzle or looking for a partner to play 45's. Predeceased by his wife of 36 years Verna May (Lewis); brothers, Victor and Gordon; sister, Lillian. He is survived by his best friend and partner Betty Ann Boudreau; special father to son, Christopher (Lisa), Granville Centre; daughters, Kelley (Randy), Timberlea; Rebecca (Eric), Bear River; and " Grampie's baby girls", Laura, Carrie and Brittany; one great grandson, Matthew; special children to Reggie were, Jennifer Lewis-Parks, NFLD; April Dawn Lewis, Surry B.C.; sisters, Josie Oliver and Vera Burnie, Annapolis Royal; Goldie Thibodeau (Louis), Granville Ferry; brothers, Glendon "Jack" (Sandra); Chester (Avis) and Layton (Joan), all from Hillsburn; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 pm Tuesday and funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday May 16, 2012, all from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, with Pastor Gary Barrett of Halifax, officiating. Interment will follow in Litchfield-Delaps Cove Cemetery. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal.
