I was so sorry to hear of Carol's passing very recently. She was a special lady. I very much enjoyed playing badminton and bridge with her...a sharp player on both fronts! Always smiling and with a kind word for all, she will be greatly missed. I'm sure memories of her will stand the family in good stead as the pain of losing her recedes.
Warmest condolences,
Elizabeth Rhymer

Please accept our sympathies on the passing of your Mom. She was also an important part of my childhood with many fond memories of badminton practices and trips. We returned back many times as adults with our kids for "reunions with Larry and friends" and will forever remember the hospitality and warmth you showed all of us.
Rest in Peace, we will miss you.

These last few days following the death of our beloved Grammie Scott had a lot of tears at our house ( I miss her so much that it physically hurts) But, this time of grieving also has a lot of smiles and a great feeling of love as we look through old photos together, reminiscing about our treasured stories of Grammie Scott.
Grammie made all the holidays momentous:
-Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter feasts at her house with extra tables stuck together to fit everyone. ( Graduating from the ‘kid’s’ table to the ‘big’ table where the laughing adults and the wine were, was an exciting rite of passage for me!)
-Her homemade birthday and Christmas cards complete with personalized pictures from our family that year ‘created for you’ by Carole’s Workshop always touched, and continue to touch, our hearts.
Grammie was sunshine and getting out to seize the day:
-Gloriously lazy Summer days by her pool, enjoying popsicles, learning to swim, diving and splashing in the sun.
-Nova Scotia day trips to boardwalks, light houses, beaches, lakes, and parks. We have to get out and enjoy the good weather, there is so much to see and do.
-Our sun porch conversations, eating her famous molasses cookies while kids played with the ‘time machine toy box’ with her children’s old games of marbles, boxing gloves, barrels of monkeys and Cookie Monster puppets.
-Her second home in Florida where we escaped the winter snow at home to be treated to her world of palm trees, warmth and sun.
Grammie gave us unconditional family love:
-She attended our milestone moments, cheering on
our graduations, our weddings, and our new additions to the family.
-She made sure that she was available to talk, whether it was for visits or FaceTime calls, she was always there for a good conversation.
-She planned family parties, big and small, at her beautiful home, or at public venues where our large family ( aunts / uncles/ cousins and everyone in our family) could gather together and catch up/ celebrate/ and share a good time together.
Grammie was certainly a very special person for our family, for all of the above mentioned reasons and so many more, and she will be greatly missed by all of us. We were so very blessed to have her in our lives.
