For many years , until it closed in 1993, Donnie Cress was the janitor/custodian/ caretaker at Clements Consolidated School in Deep Brook. After school, evenings , week ends and vacations, Donnie would be there, doing what neeed to be done and
always interested in the activities at the school. Sometimes, neighbour and friend, Gordon Long would drop by , just for company.
Donnie was also related to Wendell and they worked together at Base Exchange, later Canex. Following retirement and closure of the base, we would often see Donnie at community events, card parties, Clements Historic Society and Clementsport Good Neighbours Club.
We are thinking of you. Joanne , Bev and "Pete" with sympathy and many memories.
June & Wendell

Sincere sympathy to Donnie’s Family Circle on the loss of a father, grandfather and brother.
Donnie endeared Himself to many over the years. He particularly enjoyed Get-togethers for Hymn Singing. One of his favourite Hymns was, “Isn’t He Wonderful”. Now he’s with his wonderful Saviour whom he trusted many years ago!

Sincere sympathy to all his family. I have so many fond memories of Donnie, so many great nights playing 45's at the Clementsport Legion. So many great laughs and stories. He was also very handy with sewing machines and I took mine to him for repairs. Such a wonderful and funny man, he is going to be missed.

At this time I would like to extend my condolences to you both, JoAnn and Beverly, with the passing of your father. I do remember chatting with him a few times at the Gospel Hall. It has been many years since our paths have crossed to say hello, either visiting in Clementsvale, or at high school. I do think of the people in life over the years often, and wonder how they are. Again, my condolences.

My condolences to family and friends on the loss of Don. He was a very friendly and easy-going man. I have many fond memories of Don at different family gatherings and hunting. We would go hunting behind the Old Homestead in Waldec with Jack Wright. Great memories. Here's a picture of Don having a laugh with his brother Lionel.
