Mr. Tumilty, as I knew him, was both my math teacher and home room teacher in 1966/67, Class 9C. One of my favourite teachers and I had a lot of teachers being a military brat who went to 9 schools. My condolences to his family. A good man.

Karen and Family,
I served on the Annapolis District and then the Annapolis Valley School Boards with Bob. He was a wonderful man and a very close friend. He always spoke fondly about his family.
Bob was kind, helpful, caring and served the students of the area so well both as a teacher and a school board member. He believed in fairness and justice for all.
Bob had a great sense of humour which we all enjoyed. You have lost a precious family member and the Valley has lost a great human being.

My deepest condolences to Karen and family . I had the pleasure to serve with Bob on the Annapolis West Health Foundation. Bob was a "no foolishness" leader who got things done, as he respected everyone's opinion. He was a tireless contributor to our community and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Dear Karen, Joe, Peter and respective families, please know that my heart goes out to you all at this difficult time. I've worked for Bob and Karen for close to 15 years or so and they have become like family. Like a favourite Aunt and Uncle. It sure won't be the same without Bob there to crack jokes and prance around like proverbial "King of the Castle"! Lol!!
He was like Captain Kirk at the helm of the Star Ship... all of his papers, remotes, computer, pens, tv remotes and more within an arms reach. I will sure miss teasing him about his chaotic desk. And did I mention, many bows that came off of many pairs of dollar store glasses?
I will sure miss you Bob, but I know you are up there watching over us all, especially his girl (Karen) and may we all take comfort in that and the many wonderful memories.
