Obituary of Allan Lawrence Hubley

Allan Lawrence Hubley, 85 of Lequille, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023, at Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown.

Allan was born in Milfford, NS, to Enos Daniel and Bertha Margarete (Stailing) Hubley on November 21, 1938.

Allan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sally Ann (Chemist) Hubley.  He was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Maureen Elaine Mackenzie (Ronald) and niece Shelley Rhonda Mackenzie.

Allan was a faithful member of the new Life Pentecostal Church in Granville Ferry.  In his days, he was a licensed automotive mechanic and was employed with Clyde Baltzer for many years.  He also worked at Britex Elastic Plant, Centrelea.  He was an avid farmer and gardener and enjoyed selling his wares at the local farmers market.  Allan was always ready to haul anything and everything from “Point A to Point B” as he would say, for anyone that needed his services.  He was a kind and gentle man and always enjoyed sharing a good story.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Visitation will be held 1:00 pm until funeral service at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 19, 2023, both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, with Pastor Josiah Cormier officiating.  Burial will follow in Greywood Baptist Cemetery, Greywood.  Donations made in memory can be sent to New Life Church Building Fund.
