Obituary of Brian 'Keith' Dalby

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brian ‘Keith’ Dalby – aged 84 of Round Hill, Nova Scotia. Keith passed away December 14, 2023 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville after a short illness. Born May 21, 1939, in Grandview, Manitoba, he was the son of the late Robert and Catherine Mary (Davidson) Dalby.

 

Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Francine; sons, Brian (Patti), Chris (Belinda), Daryl (Jo); grandchildren, Samantha Cameron (Robson), Amanda and Chayton; great-grandson Mason Cameron; brother, Ron (Angele); brother-in-law, Ron Plessis (Bibiane), and sisters-in-law Donna Barnson (Art) and Arlette Plessis-Friesen (Gerald); and many nieces and nephews.

 

Keith was a devoted husband and loving father. He had many hobbies consisting of photography, stamp collecting, skin-diving, hunting, fishing, model building and collecting, and metal detecting to name a few. He had a quick mind and a wonderful sense of humour and was known as an honest and fair person by all who spent time with him.

 

He trained and worked several years as a registered Lab and X-ray Technician. He then went on to be a hospital consultant before becoming a hospital administrator. Keith belonged to many professional organizations and dedicated many hours to the Swift Current (Saskatchewan) SPCA.

 

Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at 11am on December 20, 2023 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, with Father Michael Walsh officiating.
