Obituary of Lennie May Marshall
Lennie May Marshall nee McCullough was born February 14, 1928 in New Tusket on the Green Road, to Sebry and Alicia (Mullen) McCullough. The family later relocated to Riverdale. She was No. 8 in a family of sixteen. Her mother died at 44 years of age, so she became the mother figure of her two youngest siblings, Vernon and Freta, and still calls them ‘her kids’.
She was a housewife, a Sunday school teacher, a quilter and was Grammie Marshall to many little and big people. She was a giver. She loved sledding with the children and going to watch them enjoy her lake lot. Also, she loved to play games especially Scrabble. She knitted up 20 pairs of mittens for any cold little hands every year.
When she was 19, she moved to South Range to be a mother’s helper when Carol Sabean was born. Here she met her husband, Earle Reginald Marshall. They married and made their home in South Range. They had a family of five, Seta Mae Haight (Rodney) (both are deceased), Willis Earle (Maxine), Ruth Phyllis Romard (Roland, deceased), Thelma Marie Pulsifer (deceased) John, Nora Linda Amero (Elvis, deceased). She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren.
Survived by sister, Wynona (Archie) Naugler, Ontario; Freta (Rice) Trimper, Tideview Terrace and brother, Vernon McCullough, Riverdale.
