Obituary of Joan Ann Hudson
Hudson, Joan A. – of Upper Granville, passed away February 4, 2024, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Middleton, January 19, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Lorne and Marjorie (Moulaison) Hudson. Joan worked for The Bank of Nova Scotia in a number of positions during her working career. After returning home Joan enjoyed working with her father in his gardens and vegetable stand. Joan loved her family and cared for her grandmother, father and mother at their homes until their deaths. Joan was one of the ladies who wrote and published a book called An Upper Granville Diary. She was very proud of this endeavor. Joan loved knitting and going to Bingo. Her main companion was her very much loved cat LOVEY. Joan is survived by her siblings, Lorne (Yvonne) Oshawa, David (Cheryl), Bridgetown, Janet Todd, Bridgetown, Gerald (Cindy), Round Hill and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff on the medical and transition units of the Soldiers Memorial Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place under the care and directions of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A private graveside service will take place at a later date, in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations in Joan’s memory may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
