Obituary of Carolea Mable White

Please share a memory of Carolea to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Carolea White, 71, of Upper Clements passed away on February 18th, 2024, in the Digby General Hospital with her family.

She was born to the late Lester and Rosamond DeLong on January 26th, 1953, in the Digby General Hospital.  Was a proud graduate of the Annapolis Royal Regional Academy.   She was married shortly after in 1971 to Gordon White.  She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Gordon.  During their time together they raised three children, of whom she was immensely proud: Tammy White (Matthew Connors of Dartmouth, NS), Kenneth White (Pam) of Cornwallis, NS and Sunny White (Stephanie Miller) of Virginia East, NS. She is survived by her brothers Winston (Marilyn) DeLong and Kenneth DeLong (Mary Lynn (deceased)).

Mom was devoted to her family and loved nothing more than to spend all her time with them.  She was her grandchildren’s biggest fan and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.  She is survived by four grandchildren: Aaron, Ashley, Presley, and Quaid and her two great-grandsons Zayne and Aspen.

Mom was courageous as she fought 50 years of health issues.  During this time, she raised her children and was a mother to countless others who called her mom.  This gave her joy beyond measure to welcome her nephews, nieces, and her kid’s friends as her own.

She went back to school and received a Business Administration Diploma from NSCC.  She worked at Darmos, Convergys Call Centre and for the last 15+ years Office Manager at Fundy Fixed Gear Council. This gave her great pride to work with the fisherman.

Her family would like to express sincere appreciation to Dr. Dill for his many years of care and friendship.  Thank you to the many Health Care Professionals over the years.  A special thank you to Dr. Mazeroll and all the staff on the second floor at the Digby General Hospital the last 3 months.  A private funeral will be held 2 pm, Friday. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.  Online Condolences may be made by visiting www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
