Dear Angela, Dot, Willie, Julie, Dan and Joe. My sincerest condolences on the passing of Les, a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. I was up to the house the week before to buy some eggs. As was customary we chatted for quiet awhile about all manner of things. My how he loved being up in the woods cutting, junking and hauling wood. We’d made plans to build a large shed on my property this summer, it would’ve been a great time together. When Les would come to cut my grass, after he was finished we’d have a bit of a chat. Eventually, I’d look at my watch, look at Les and say “I don’t want Angela to shoot me for making you late for dinner (again).” We’d laugh the laugh of trepidation. I will greatly miss Les.
All of you will be in my daily prayers that God Almighty will give you peace, strength and comfort as you recall the personal memories of Les.

Dear Angela & Family,
We are thinking of you during this most difficult time in your life.
I had the pleasure of knowing Les for over 35 years and enjoyed our many conversations when I was home during the summer. Les always had a good story to share.
The local community has suffered a tremendous loss, Les was always willing to help in his neighborhood, whether it be drawing hay, cutting grass, or plowing driveways, he was there.
I know he was looking forward to enjoying his retirement and spending more time on the farm and with Angela and his children, sometimes life just isn’t fair.
Our sincere Condolences go out to the entire Hudson Family.

To our dearest Ange, Dot, Will, Julie, Dan Joey, grand children and all family members,
Tom and I, with our family members,Mitchell & Robyn;Justin & Ashley and families, extend to you all our sincere heartfelt condolences at this most sad and difficult time. Our hearts are broken for your loss as Les was a great man who loved you deeply and proudly.
As a community,( Granville Road),he will be remembered fondly as the nicest guy around who would light up your day with a big smile, an interesting conversation and a genuine kindness accompanied by a keen sense of humour. His contributions to this community were many and he definitely made a positive difference within our area, and beyond. To the hundreds of children driven to school everyday for forty years, he will be part of their best memories as a student. The same can be said for the many years of sports related activities he coached, promoted or personally participated it. Those memories, for us,remain some of the best times in our lives.
Les was our dear friend and we will always remember him lovingly and call upon the memories we made as friends to bring a smile to our face and lighten our hearts.
We hold you all close to us in our daily thoughts and send our love and support during this most saddest of times for you all.
Forever in our hearts,
Tom, Darlene and families.

To Dorothy, I'm so sorry for your loss, we were cousins and although I don't come home often I always think of you and all the kiddos on the hill. It was always a great place to come visit. My condolences to you and to Angela, you have lost the love of your life and the father of your children. Love is a great feeling but loss of life is hard, I know the feeling. Just remember all the great times and laughter you shared with Les and hold onto it to get through these next few days and weeks ahead. I'll be thinking of you all, God bless and stay strong. Xo

Dave and I want to add our voices to the many condolences that have been offered here. It is very obvious that he was a much-loved member of the community and had an impact on many lives, especially those of the children that he drove over all those years. He left a legacy of love and caring, not only for his family, but in the community. We need many more Les Hudsons, they make the world a better place. We are sorry for this sudden and painful loss in your family and hope that all the stories and laughter shared will help lessen your grief.

Les was always a true loving, kind and compassionate human to all who were fortunate to of crossed paths with him. He loved his family more than anything and always made sure he shared that. Everyone is in our prayers and meditations while we "all"accept that he's not going to be coming down the street on his tractor sometimes just to ask, "how are ya?" Marc and I will always look and listen for him with a huge smile! After all he made us feel like family too. Bless you at this most difficult moment. Dana n Marc

My "Boyfriend" story...
When we came from far West in 2008, you all greeted, helped, hugged and smiled us into the Neighbourly surrounds of Port Wade. Thank you so much.
We started to share many experiences, Siegfried had been a Busdriver in Germany, when he worked for the German Railroad and when we came to Canada 1987, we owned a Cattle Ranch in BC.
Many times we came together and shared our stories of those times.
One day Les came over for a neighbourly chat.....Siegfried said to me, here comes your "Boyfriend"....we always had to lough
about this Nickname, so, from then on Les was the "Boyfriend".
He surely will be dearly missed by many. Always keep those Memories close to Heart.
Les followed Siegfried in his footprints, but just too early.
With deep sympathy and our thoughts are with you.

Dear Angela, Willie, Julie, Dan and Joe, my mother and I are so very sorry about your great loss. There are simply no words. Les gave unparalleled kindness and patience to indeed the entire community, be it with those of us (myself included) who were lucky enough to be safely driven to and from school countless times by him, or the many kids he coached over the years - always with a smile. And of course so many great memories came out of his stewardship of the “Granville Road kids” - I still remember how wonderful ice cream day was on the last day of school each year, when he would take all of us out at Dunromin’s out of the kindness of his heart! He truly loved his family and his community, and we will all miss him dearly. My dad, who I miss every day, also thought the world of Les, and absolutely loved getting to greet him and talk sports every morning when the bus would stop to pick me up. Again, we are so very sorry for your loss; our sincere condolences to you and your extended families, Love, Allison and Genie Bogart Turner
