Shannon Phillip Mattatall, born on June 20th, 1974, embraced life with a passion for family, work, and leisure. Tragically, on May 6th, 2024, he departed this world, leaving behind cherished memories and an indelible legacy.
Shannon was the beloved husband of 21 years to Kerry, who stood by his side through life's trials and triumphs. He was a devoted father to Dyson (with Kelsey), Brogan (with Lexi), Cody (with Morrissa), and Devan (with Dillian). His love extended to his grandchildren: Keleah, Emilia, and Peyton, whom they affectionately called "grampie."
In his youth, Shannon was nurtured by his parents, Diane and the late Phillip. He shared a bond of brotherhood with Amanda, Lisa, and Tracy, his beloved sisters. Shannon was also a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Shannon's pride and love for his children knew no bounds. He took immense joy in their accomplishments and journeyed alongside them through life's twists and turns, always offering unwavering support and guidance.

He dedicated much of his life to the maritime trades, working as a skilled drywaller and scallop fisherman. His expertise and dedication earned him respect among colleagues and friends alike. He found solace and joy in drawing and playing a variety of instruments, from guitar and drums to piano. His musical and artistic talent brought joy to those around him and provided him with a creative outlet for expression.
His departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. Yet, Shannon's spirit will forever live on in the laughter shared, the memories cherished, and the lessons imparted.
