Gerald Dennison (Buddy) Sarty

March 23, 1940 – August 9, 2024

 

Sarty, Gerald Dennison, 84, of Bridgetown, passed away August 9, 2024. Born March 23, 1940, in Parkers Cove, he was the oldest son of Clifford Hudson Sarty and Myrtle Emily Guest.

 

Buddy spent many years as a woodsman and truck driver. He enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, and search-a-word puzzles. Dad loved to spend time with his family.

 

Buddy is survived by his daughters, Angela Dawn Sarty of South Berwick, and Elizabeth Rae (Gordie) Bent of Melvern Square; grandchildren, Nathan Ryan (Jessica Deveau) Horsfall of Kentville, Aaron Barrie (Leanne Banks) Horsfall of Greenwood, Jayden Dennison (Scout Burns) Bent of Berwick, Tayah Whitney Rae Bent of Melvern Square; great-grandchildren, Ethan Barrie Horsfall of Greenwood and Karma Lynn Timpa of Berwick; and 17 nieces and nephews.

 

Buddy was the last surviving of his siblings. He was predeceased by Alberta (2020), Clifford (Reggie) (2021), Raymond (2013), Lillian (2017), Lewis (Buster) (2023), Howard “Wayne” (2000), and Eileen (2022). He was also predeceased by great-grandson, Angel Lane Horsfall (2017); nephew Raymond Scott Sarty (2016).
