Bent, Maxine Patricia – 94 of Bridgetown, passed away, August 14, 2024 in Annapolis Community Health Centre. Born January 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late W. Judson and Ada Mae (Thompkins) Chute.

Maxine loved life! Taking drives around the country side with friends and going out for meals. Knitting her family Christmas and birthday presents. Quilting, crochet and in her younger years tole painting and ceramics.

She was a wonderful, caring and loving mother, she made all of her family her life. She was a fantastic friend to all that knew her.

She is survived by her children, Garey (Ruby) Bent of Beaverbank, Linda Conrad (Don Pulsifer), Bridgetown, Joan Bent (Silas Townsend), Port Royal; grandchildren, Stephen Kay, Terri-Linn Angel, Lacey, Garth, and Kerri Lescaudron, Ryan Bent and Heidi Boutilier; great  grandchildren, Joshua, Bethanie, Shaw, Jonathan, Shannon; great great grandchildren, Oliver, Lila, Izlah, Kayden, Kingsley. Besides her parents, Maxine was predeceased by her husband, Clifford; brother, Lawrence (Bud) Chute; sisters, Mildred Marshall and Florence Nesbitt.

Special thanks to the VON and Palliative care. To her wonderful neighbors and friends at Centennial apartments for visiting and making sure she was OK when family wasn’t able to and for the Karaoke singing she always looked forward too.

A visitation will be held at 1pm Tuesday August 20, 2024, with a funeral service beginning at 2pm, both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, with Rev. Dr. Steven Hopper officiating. Reception will follow the service, followed by a private family burial.
