On September 1/2024 , I attended a Celebration of Life for James. It was well attended and was appreciated by me.
On September 2/2024 I took my first load of liquid asphalt up Roxbury Road. In 1974 or 1975 I sold James a Michigan loader. It was powered by a "Screaming Jimmy". Later in 1980's or 1990's I sold him an excavator and many other transactions followed.
James and I agreed we were related through his dad and my Grandmother.
All the best to the family,
Warm regards, Willis Marshall.

I met and got to know Jimmy when be both went to BRHS. He was a quiet , pleasant teen who stayed the same throughout life. A very hard worker that never failed to deliver our soil when requested . Meeting him on the highway with his dump truck , you were sure to get a wave from him. RIP Jimmy , time to put aside the work boots. Much sympathy to your beloved family.

I have such fond memories of Jimmy. He was kind, friendly, and gentle. We'd see his truck coming and pump our arms, rewarded with a big blast from his horn. We've had many friendly conversations from the logging road headed to and from "Jimmy's Pit". It's neighbors like those we found in the Heights and Martels that made Paradise a magic place to grow. Our condolences to the entire family. God speed Jimmy ❤️ You'll be missed

I dealt with James from the time he moved back to NS. He never changed. He was a hard working, kind and gentle man. I enjoyed our many conversations over the years. He worked very hard for his family and the industry that he loved. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

My deepest sympathy and love to all of you. I will always remember James so fondly from sleepovers as a youth with Lori. He never hesitated to let us play around and on top of his trucks or host our impromptu Equestrian Competitions (even coming to save some of us on work horses out of control on the 201 or was bothered by all the ruckus of lots of kids in and out of the house. As an adult, I always enjoyed our conversations when he was delivering rocks, mulch, etc. or birthday parties for his young grandchildren. He was truly one of the kindest of men. Hugs to all of you (especially to my sweet childhood friend, Lori).
