Hello there: This is a voice from the past. I want to express my sympathy to you all on the passing of your dear mother. In the early 1970s, I belonged to the Single Teachers Club at Liverpool Regional High School, which was founded by Martha's sister, Maryanna Thorbourne, who taught home economics with us. We used to come to Maryanna and Bruce's house in Part Wade for weekend escapes. Martha would often join us for cards, singing, laughter and so much good food!!!! I have very happy members of her happy and loving personality and her generous sharing of her time and interest. At Normal College or Teachers College in Truro, Martha was the bestest friend of my mother, Vera Wallace, from Wolfville. I suspect it was knowing Martha that kept mum there at the school, instead of running home and throwing it all in. Mum remembered Martha with the greatest of affection. God bless. Homer Noble
