Hall (Wheelock) Margaret Elizabeth - 84, of Karsdale, Annapolis County, passed away March 3, 2013, after a lengthy illness in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Karsdale, she was the daughter of the late Noble and Florence (Sanderson) Wheelock. She lived in Stewicke, Moncton, Windsor Ontario and Port Wallis / Dartmouth during her life. After returning to Karsdale from Port Wallis / Dartmouth with her husband and children in 1966, she lived in her beloved home in which she was born and from which the Painted Room Murals were taken to the National Gallery, Ottawa, in 1976. She enjoyed playing bridge, music and the decorative arts of crocheting, knitting and embroidery. She was a Life Member of the Port Wallis U.C.W. and played the organ in the Port Royal Union Church for a number of years and was President of the Port Royal Sewing Circle. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy Alfred; children: son, Richard (Diane); daughter, Elaine (Peter) Sarty; grandchildren, Dana (Sandra) Hall; Ronda Lewis; Darren (Nadine) Sarty and Jillian (Tyson) Langille; great grandchildren, Gary and Zachary Lewis; Julia and Jenna Hall; Daniel Sarty; brother, Ernest (Marie) Wheelock, Smiths Cove; niece, Lynn Wheelock and nephew, Jeffrey Wheelock. She was predeceased by nephew, David Wheelock. No visitation by request. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Friday, March 8, in Port Royal Union Church, Port Royal, with Rev. Elizabeth Waugh officiating. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery at a later date.
