Longmire, Helena Mae, Hillsburn and Annapolis Royal. It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother at the age of 86 years. She passed away peacefully April 20, 2013 at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home in the comfort of her family. Born October 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Moreland and Lydia Halliday. She was a member of the Hillsburn Baptist Church. Although we deeply mourn our loss we joyfully remember the wonderful life she lived. She devoted her life to her family and nothing pleased her more than to be surrounded by them. One of the highlights of her life was her bus trip across Canada.. She is survived by son Brian (Mary), daughters Mary Lou Theriault, Gloria (Dan) Nixon, Elizabeth (Paul) White; grandchildren Sally (Robert) Hunter, Robbie (Lindsay) Longmire, Victoria Theriault, Scott ( Merriam) Nixon, Patricia (Kevin) Kendrick, Cory (Dee) Nixon, Krista (Raymond) Potter; great grandchildren: Jacob Hunter, Hannah and Dylan Longmire, Liam, Gwyn, Eleanora, Oliver, Heidi Nixon, Abigail, Hailey & Logan Kendrick, Dacia Keith (Nixon) , Garth , Jared & Jessica Potter. She is also survived by her sister Wilma; brothers: Alton, Ernest, Kenneth, Clarie and Curtis. She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Wilfred of 45 years, her beloved son Richard Alvin, sisters: Geraldine Difford, Lottie Gregory, and Elsie McNutt; brothers: Ross, Reginald, Ronald, Rodney, Percy and Leigh. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday April 26, 2013 both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Seth Moore officiating. A reception wilol follow at the funera home.A private family burial will be in the Hillsburn Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be sent to the Canadian cancer Society or to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Fund..
