Obituary of Rickey Harnish

HARNISH, Rickey Charles- Age 55 of Rossway, Digby County passed away at Valley Regional Hospital on May 28,2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Ruth (Wentzell) and Albert Harnish. He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna (Denton) and beloved pets, Molly, River and Tange; sisters Christine Harnish, Sandy Cove; Diana Theriault(Regan), Lisa Theriault, Little River; Lynn (Carmen)Burnie, Digby; nieces and nephews, Kristen, Corey, Nicole, Daniel, Desiree, Courtney, Kyle, Natalie, Alexandra, Brittany, Madison, Briana; 6 great nephews and 2 great nieces; sister in laws Robyn (Brian), Susan and Stephanie. He was predeceased by brothers Gary, Gregory and David; grandparents Trueman & Vira Wentzell, Wallace & Mildred Harnish. Rickey had a very strong dedication to his wife and family, especially his sisters. He was very outgoing and always had time to lend a hand to others. He spent most of his working career in various sectors of the fishing industry but his real passion was weir fishing. He was an avid Tim Horton's patron and salvage yard connoisseur. He will be sadly missed by everyone, even the neighbourhood pets. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A private family burial will be held at a later date. There will be a Celebration of Rickey's Life on Sunday June 9/13 at Digby Neck Fire Hall from 1pm-4pm, everyone welcome.
