Fitzharris, Ann Michael, 75 passed away August 3, 2013 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in New Waterford, Cape Breton she was the only daughter of the late Michael and Mary ( Newman) Fitzharris of Kaneville. She is survived by her brother Clifford of Wilmot and nephew Joseph of Bra D'Or and was predeceased by a brother Joseph. Ann loved to travel when she was younger, soaking up the sun in Barbados and Cuba. She worked in Montreal in the late 60's just to experience Expo 67. Ann was a passionate advocate for workers rights displayed by her taking her union , as president, to their first ever strike in Nova Scotia in the early 1970's. She was very proud of that fact. Ann worked in the Victoria General Hospital in the OR for most of her career. Always ready with a good story she will be missed. Cremation has taken pace under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. There will be no service by family request.
