Morgan, Larry Earl, 83 of Shaw Rd. Clementsport, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2013 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born on July 19, 1930 in Greenland, Annapolis County, he was the eldest child of Cecil and Edith (Trimper) Morgan. Larry served 14 years in the RCAF as an aircraft engine mechanic, posted to CFB Rivers in Manitoba and then CFB Uplands in Ottawa. It was in Ottawa, where he met and married Doris May Hodgins of Pontiac County, Quebec. In 1968, Larry left the Armed Forces and returned with his family to his roots in Nova Scotia. He found work as a painter at CFB Cornwallis, where he remained until he retired in 1990. Larry was an avid hunter from a young age, and bagged more then 30 deer over the years. He was a great reader, spent many enjoyable summers travelling with Doris through the back roads of eastern Canada and the US in their camper, and also held a ham radio license. Doris, his beloved wife and partner of 50 years, predeceased him in 2010. He is survived by sons, Norman (Millie), Ottawa; Wayne (Melissa), Clementsport; Richard, Morganville; grandson, Shawn; as well as seven brothers and sisters. Larry was a quiet, modest man, a good neighbor and a good citizen. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service will be held 11am, Tuesday, September 3, in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Clementsvale Cemetery. Donation in Larry's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be sent to www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
