Lewis, Gladys Mae - age 86 of Port Lorne, went to be with her Lord, on Thursday January 30th, 2014, at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in West Arlington, she was the daughter of the late Clara (Taylor) Caldwell and Cabot Caldwell. Gladys spent the last three and a half years at Stephen and Louise Wades in Port Lorne. This place became her home and they became part of her family. She was an inactive member of the Nazarene Church in Tremont. Gladys worked many years at Avon Foods, Berwick. She loves gardening and Stephen & Louise's many dogs. Over the years she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She spent many hours reading her Bible and praying for others. She is survived by daughters, Lynda Shepherd, Advocate, Clara Lewis, Port Lorne, Evelyn McCrackin (Wayne), Alberta; sons, Roy Lewis, Moncton, Allan Lewis (Joanne), Greenwood; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Handley Lewis; step son, Winston; sons, Arthur, Thomas, Harvey; grandchildren, Susan Lewis and April Spicer; great grandson, Sabastien MacLean. Cremation as take place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. No visitation by request. A funeral service will take place 2 pm Wednesday, February 5, at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, with Pastor Heather Pearle - Gillis officiating. Burial will take place in the Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 17, 2014 .
