Marsman, Charles Trueman "Charlie" - 59, Upper Clements, Annapolis Co., died suddenly in QEII, Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, on February 28, 2014. Born in Annapolis Royal, he was the second child of the late Florence Katherine and Thomas Fletcher Marsman. With a junior high education and a constant desire to improve, Charles became a well-respected fisherman. It was a profession he put his heart and soul into and spoke fondly of when he was no longer able to do it due to illness in 2004. His favorite books were his Bible and the dictionary which he studied regularly. He enjoyed weight-lifting and sports. Warm and humorous, he was loved by many people. Charles is survived by his sister, Jannis Ruck, Toronto, ON; cousins, James Tolbart, Wilmot; Catherine Tolbert, Middleton; Harold Tolbert, Trenton; Shawn Skeir, Toronto, ON; nieces, Elaine Scott-Marsman and Sonja Harriott, Edmonton, AB and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his aunt, Jessie Talbert; cousins Joey Skier, Martha Stevens; Ella Hall, Frank Tolbart and Hazel Davis. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Friday March 7, with a funeral service being held 2 pm, Saturday, March 8, both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal, with Aaron Laevens officiating. Burial will follow in Litchfield -Delaps Cove, Cemetery, beside his mother.
