Walker, Rachel "Amanda", 32 of Carleton Corner, Annapolis Co. passed away Sunday March 30, 2014 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville she was the daughter of Peter and Jo-Ann (Wilson) Walker. Amanda was a graduate of Bridgetown Regional High School. As a member of the Special Olympics, she won many medals and awards over the years. Amanda especially enjoyed going with dad on the 4 wheeler, in the truck or on heavy equipment. She loved NASCAR especially Jimmy Johnson "48" and was a fan of wrestling. She spent countless hours sharing her love and friendship with her grandmother, Laura at gram's house. She loved life and cherished making people smile especially her friends and her big sister Elizabeth Taylor, cousin and best friend Eileen Taylor and her Special Olympic friend Jean Spovold. Amanda could always be identified by her big smile and her long single braid. Thank you to the two beautiful people who helped take care of Amanda, Alberta Spurr and Connie Taylor. She will be sadly missed by dad and mom, family and friends. Her precious smile will never be forgotten. Besides her parents, she is survived by paternal grandfather, John Walker, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Laura Walker and grandparents, Joseph and Joan Wilson. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. A Celebration of Amanda's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday from the Bridgetown Fire Hall with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating.
