Obituary of Olive Connell

Connell, Olive Lenora - 82 of Granville Centre, Annapolis County, passed away April 7, 2014, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with her loving family by her side. Born in Round Hill, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel and Winnifred (Whynot) Guest. Olive was a life member of Port Royal Branch No. 21 Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary and a longtime member (36 years), of the Annapolis Royal Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed the Saturday night Jam sessions with her many friends. Olive is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Connell; daughters, Sheila (Sheldon) Blenus, Kentville and June (Allan) Warren, Digby; daughter-in-law, Hilda Orde, Annapolis Royal; grandson, Brian Orde; granddaughters, Amanda (Dale) Potter and Crystal-Ann (Shawn) Randall; great grandsons, Austin Orde and Carter Randall; great granddaughter, Kaylee Potter; brothers, Roland (Ellen) and Donald (Cora); sister-in-law, Leona Guest; step daughter, Sharon (Ron) Garrison; step sons, David (Hilda), Wayne (Roberta), Kenny (Pat), John (Sandy) and Rick (Candy); several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Everett Orde; son, Elliott Orde; great granddaughter, Felicia Randall; sister, Joyce Tufts; brothers, Cyril and Ronald. No visitation by request. Family flowers only. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal, where a funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday April 11, 2014, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Wadeville Cemetery, Granville Centre. Donations in Olive's memory may be sent to the Annapolis Royal Fire Department or Wadeville Cemetery.
