Cashman (Saunders), Joyce Anna - 85, of Lequille, passed away, Friday June 20, 2014, in Digby General Hospital. Born December 14, 1928, in Lequille, daughter of the late George William and Eleanor Maria (Rice) Saunders. Joyce worked as a store clerk for many years. First at Stedman's in Annapolis Royal, also at the General Store in Lequille for F. L. Cashman and Son Ltd. Later, after her marriage to Lloyd in 1956, they had taken over the business in 1968, she was a partner and shareholder. She loved gardening, especially flowers, also spending time at the cottage at Sandy Bottom Lake. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; son, Rodney, Lequille; daughter, Susan Cashman (Paul), Princedale; granddaughters, Tamara Cashman (Brad), Lake LaRose, Fallon Cashman (Ryan), Lequille; great grandchildren, Jayden, Khloe, Mason, Landon; sister, Dorothy Pauline Oliver, Lequille; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. A private family graveside service will be held in St. Albans Cemetery, Lequille. Donation in Joyce's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
