Obituary of John Thorburne

Thorburne, John Fredrick - 79 of Clementsport, Annapolis Co., passed away September 14, 2010, in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born in Sandy Point, Shelburne Co., he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Rose) Thorburne. John was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was very involved in his community. He enjoyed talking with people and spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 122 Clementsport and the Masonic Lodge.He is survived by his wife, Jean (Foote), Clementsport; children, Patrick (Joan), Shelburne; Deanna Barlow (Paul), Ottawa; Thomas (Annette), Gagetown; Richard, Barrington Passage; Lynes (Heather) , Barrington Passage; step-son, Ralph (Mary) Taylor, Ottawa; step-children, Jerry (Eulalie) Bruce, Cornwallis Park Jane Bruce, Annapolis Royal; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Anthony, Mike; sisters, Freda Moffett, Beverly Burke, Judy Amos. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Caldwell; sister, Helen Branscomb, grandson, Troy White. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 Thursday Sept. 16, 2010, and funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday all from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Rev.
