Harnish, Elsie Madeline 86 of Lequille passed away December 12, 2014 in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Parkers Cove, she was a daughter of the late William James and Jesse Myrtle (Oliver) Gregory. Elsie was a loving and kind person who truly loved children. She loved to knit and quilt and was a former member of the Cape Guild. She also taught Sunday school for several years. She is survived her husband of 67 years Cecil “Buster” Harnish; children, Cecil Eugene (Mary) of Peterborough, ON; Diane Marie (John) Edwards of St. Catharines ON; Shirley Irene (Greg) Hannam of Granville Ferry; Sherman Walter (Jeanette) of Lequille ; Ellen Louise (Eric) Mailman of Lequille; Carol Elsie (Leigh) Freeman of Bear River and Richard Bruce Harnish of Greywood; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Clayton of Annapolis Royal. She was predeceased by daughter, Elizabeth Ellen in infancy, grandsons, George Sherman Harnish and Dwayne Riley; sisters, Dorothy, Eleanor, and Lola Bella; brothers, Stanley, Murray, Roy and Georgie.Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday and funeral service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Canon Ken Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow in St. Albans Anglican Cemetery, Lequille. In lieu of flowers donations in Elsie’s memory may be sent to the Parkinson Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society or to the IWK Health Foundation.
