We are getting to that place in life where we can look at milestone people who impacted our lives, and there's no energy like the Charlie Bower energy that lit up the world: and so Charles, you are missed, and loved, and we know we will always feel your spark of creativity coming from the Other Side.
Pauline and family, our thoughts continue to be with you and we hope you feel surrounded by caring community on all sides.

HOPE Hope is a voice that drives us forward when life deals out trials and tribulations.
Hope is a voice of change,a high held banner that leads us on when life seems impossible.
Hope pairs with Love and Faith to give us permission to love ourselves,to venture to new frontiers to bravely lead others over perilous paths.
Hope is the rainbow after the storm, the baby after the intensive labour, the joy that arises after we venture into uncharted waters and do the remarkable.
Hope springs from the heart, soaring like a bird in a storm.
Hope is the reason for getting out of bed and starting a new day.
Wishing to share this poem I wrote a few years ago" Hope" with you.I think this is how Charlie lived his life and negotiated his illness. He certainly did the remarkable.

It is with a very heavy heart that I jot down some thoughts. Charlie was a profound / deep soul. He had a way of cutting through the fluff to arrive at the foundation. For me he was that sane voice in the midst of confusion.
I (we) will miss you Charlie.
As for you, Pauline-- you were blessed with a very good man - I pray that the memories will overtake the grief, the love you shared was precious and should be celebrated.
For now I say "I'll see you later Charles"

I only worked at Ledgehill for a brief time and had the honour of speaking with Charles several times. During those times he quickly brought the conversation to a deep profound level saying things that I will carry with me for the rest of my time here on earth. His impact was beyond inspiring and so respectful. He will be missed but oh so never forgotten. Take care Pauline.

CHARLIE.
I have had a difficult time putting the words to paper on what to say: sadness for sure. Charlie was not a regular Joe; his eccentricities made people think twice about what they brought to the game of life.
I guess the best way to put it is to say that the world will be a little less interesting without his personality, around.
Our Deepest Condolences.

Charles was my CP, consulting partner, at NTL's Consulting Skills workshop in Bethel Maine in 1990 (or 91!) and as our friendship grew, Charles introduced me to Shalom, Timshel and then our regular CP phone calls were a beacon for
me! When Pauline and Charles visited us on Fire Island, we had many grand adventures: hiking, swimming and discovering more and more
about couplesship, 'surfing the net' (lol) and love. His play skills were finely honed as were his consulting skills and life skills too! We mourn this loss but oh, what a gift of living more into our present you gave so many of us! Pauline, you've been his beloved since day one and I cannot imagine your loss. I send a million hugs and a rush of fond memories. Visiting your cherished Ledgehill was a thrill and a privilege. Your life, Charles, was overflowing to the brim with love and joy. We were blessed and still are; I sense your twinkling eyes are keeping watch, making sure we stay grateful for the present.

Sept, 2000 - Lima, Peru. Charlie and I met for the first time on a 7-day "innovation" workshop in Peru. Here we are at a soft drink company learning about their creative business practices (I'm in the white jacket, Charlie in the back with the raised bottle). He and I both loved Macchu Picchu and the Peruvian people. How lucky I was to have that chance encounter with him that led to 15 years of friendship and adventure.

My condolences to Pauline and all the family. I only knew Charlie (coach) for a short time while in Ledgehill. We shared many stories and I confided in him 120%. He gave me the tools to find myself and who i am as a person rather then telling me. I looked forward to my daily visits as I know he did as well. No disrespect to the staff at Ledgehill but for me, he was my favorite counsellor. I know he must have touched many people for he was a very wise man. I am proud to have meant him and call him my friend. May he rest in peace.

Dearest Pauline: I have included a poem I wrote about Celebration of Life, here it is for Charlie and you.
Dragons Fly in a Winged Skirt
We flew high and free
We flew into the east, into the fire that guards the seven gates of passing
We found a spark of life there, to kindled and brought to fire
We glided to the south, to the cool waters that quenched our thirst for knowing,
Knowledge of times gone by and to new life to be cherished
We soared; a sweeping angle to the west where we were able to touch Mother Earth
To see all its glory; to feel the dirt under our feet; a grounding
To touch the mountains, feel the trees and hear the whisper of all creatures
We swooped straight into the North, where we felt the winds of time
High to see our lives as one, to see the truth about love and commitment
Here we spread our wings out full and held for a minute to experience the essence of renewal
Our winged skirts twirls in the wind of space and time showing all their colours
Ready to dive into the tapestry of life,
To feel the pull of the Weaver of thread that changed our lives
Make the thread strong, to hold steady to path you have chosen
Find the light and dark of love, passion and space for each others dreams
In Loving kindness, Virginia

Pauline and family. We want to thank you for including us in your lives all these years. Charlie , yourself and Ledgehill have been a real source of discovery and shared experiences. Our walks to the Destiny Tree, the pond and countless mornings around the fireplace are things which we will continue to cherish.
More than a couple of passing ships in the night, the connection was genuine and real. We will continue to remember the crazed entrepreneur who was always able to share his wisdom and sage advice.
Take care of yourselves, while we are less without him around , we are all so much more from the too short time we had to share with him.
Much love
