Obituary of Joan Mae MacDonald

MacDonald, Joan Mae, 67 of Bridgetown passed away peacefully Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville after a lengthy illness. Born in Annapolis Royal, she was the daughter of late Percy and Irma (Hinton) McLellan. Joan worked for over 30 years at Mountain Lea Lodge and was well known in the area as the Avon Sales Lady. She loved long drives, ice cream, lobster rolls, cats and country music. Joan is survived by her loving husband, Steve and sister, Loretta Swinimer, Alberta. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 18th from 2-4 p.m. in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 19th at 2:00 p.m. from the Bridgetown Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Port Wade Cemetery. The family would like to thank the V.O.N. for all their assistance over the last two years. Donations in Joan’s memory may be made to Mountain Lea Lodge.
